TGL 31034 (Konstruktionsdokumentation. Technische Zeichnungen. Schrift. Grundsätze) is the old East-German technical typeface standard, replaced later by the ISO 3098. This free font was created by Peter Wiegel.
The author even included some cyrilic characters to recreate the old TGL 31043. The latest revision (2009) supports many languages and it's available for free.
TGL (Die Technischen Normen, Gütevorschriften und Lieferbedingungen) were used from 1955 to 1990.The TGL standards were, in contrast to DIN, regulation and were not only as a recommendation. They were published in the Gazette-reprints, TGL paperbacks and magazines.
